The Lecco-based start-up will build a plant in<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ilsole24ore.com\/art\/limenet-start-up-che-immagazzina-co2-mare-vende-prime-mille-tonnellate-AFpD9ueD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Augusta<\/a><\/strong>, Sicily, there where large heavy industry settlements arise, that <strong>can remove about 4 thousand tons of carbon dioxide annually<\/strong> and<strong> transform it into calcium bicarbonates<\/strong> to be stored in the sea. Calcium bicarbonates, in fact, counteract water acidification, thus improving the marine ecosystem.<\/h5>\n<h5>Of these 4 thousand tons, one thousand-which will be captured by Limenet by mid-2025-have already been purchased by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.klimadao.finance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KlimDao<\/a> <\/strong>(a platform active in the voluntary carbon credit market), thus generating useful carbon credits for companies to offset their negative emissions.<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"cmsms_row_6a28af2c41074\"
